Biography
Rosa Marín is a doctoral student and associate marriage and family therapist who earned her B.A. degrees in Psychology and Spanish at University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. Rosa additionally became an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist through meeting requirements with the Board of Behavioral Science. Furthermore, she is currently pursuing her PsyD degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University.
Currently, Rosa works as a bilingual primary therapist at Avedis Recovery, Inc where she works in recovery with underserved populations who are navigating substance use. She is also a primary therapist at Pepperdine Community Counseling Clinic, as well as a neuropsychology extern at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles. Her clinical interests include working with populations impacted by trauma and providing culturally sensitive treatment in both Spanish and English. Rosa is also interested in becoming a board-certified neuropsychologist and providing services for adults who have challenges in neurologic functioning.
Rosa has a strong relationship with her dimensions of diversity and she values humility, inclusivity, and compassion. She strives for creating a safe space for people in both clinical and nonclinical settings.
